The more time I spend immersed in nature, the more vibrant and vivid my dreams become. I often find myself wandering through surreal landscapes, encountering captivating plant and animal life from other worlds. In these dreams, I also speak languages that are unfamiliar to me, and that I later weave into my artwork. These sensory experiences, whether from the natural world or from the dreamscape, flow into my drawings and Kinetic Book Sculptures, infusing them with a sense of movement and mystery.

Though I know little about my ancestry, I do know that my grandfather was from the Purepecha indigenous lineage. When I learned that dreams hold deep spiritual significance for the Purepecha people, I began to pay more attention to my own dreams, seeking a connection to that part of my molecular makeup. Now, I see my art as both a personal exploration and a celebration of my profound bond with nature, my dreams, and a rediscovery of who I am and the heritage I hold within my bones.
