Welcome!
I am Ana Bedolla, a mixed media bookbinding artist born in Michoacán, Mexico, and currently based in Oakland, CA. My work is rooted in the vivid landscapes of my dreams and my time spent in nature.
As a child, visits to my grandmother’s home sparked a deep fascination with insects. The rhythmic hum of cicadas and the delicate movement of bees, butterflies, and dragonflies left a lasting impression on me.
Today, I weave these early memories together with the imagery that emerges from my subconscious. My practice is shaped by a deep love of nature and the vivid, dreamlike visuals that continue to inform and guide my work.
Insects from my grandmother’s garden that have served as a source of inspiration across various projects.
